History

Christ Church was founded in 1909 as a branch church of the Parish of Gordon and Hornsby. The first service was held at 3pm on Sunday 31st January of that year. This arrangement lasted until 1919.

From 1919-1960, Christ Church was a branch church in the Parish of Pymble with St Ives. On 3rd February 1960, the Rev. David G. Davis was appointed Curate-in-charge of the Provisional District of St Ives with Terrey Hills.

Rapid expansion of the church saw the need for new facilities and the foundation stone for the new building was laid on 29th February 1964 and full Parish status was gained in 1966.
