Halfway there!

I’m excited to announce today that we’re halfway there on our Ministry Training Appeal. Each year we seek to raise at least $100,000 to support our trainees and trainers in raising up the next generation of gospel workers.

Our trainees this year are:

  • Lauren Dewhurst - Student Minister (Moore College)

  • Josh Hayward - Student Minister (Moore College)

  • Luke Morris - Student Minister (Moore College)

  • Joanna Adams - MTS

  • Britt Beattie - MTS

  • Phil Claridge - MTS

Watch a short video from them at the top of this blog!

Our goal is to be training 7 MTS apprentices and 2 student ministers each year - it’s an exciting prospect and one that needs your help prayerfully and financially. Pray that we can all capture the commitment and passion to train and encourage men and women for a lifetime of ministry. And then, please give financially.

This year you can support Ministry Training at Christ Church in two ways:

First, we are seeking to raise $100,000 to support and train our in-house MTS Apprentices and Student Ministers and prepare for future ones. Giving in this way is not tax deductible and can be done via our normal account but you must use the reference code: TrainingAppeal2024. Head to https://www.christchurch.com.au/training-appeal for more information.

Second, we also have the opportunity for some tax deductible giving for ministry training this year as two of our apprentices are studying at Youthworks College. To give in a tax deductible way for this appeal you must give via: https://support.mts.com.au/pages/mts/mts-donation-form-christ-church-st-ives

Later in the year we will undertake our Scripture Appeal which is fully tax deductible. With both appeals, we ask you to give in addition to your regular giving.

Thanks for supporting this project that seeks to send people who know the gospel and love Jesus out from Christ Church St Ives with clarity, competence, conviction and Christ-like character.

Jump on board the appeal and together, let’s prepare people to change the world with the Gospel of Jesus.

In Christ
