At Christ Church we are committed to training up and sending out people for the work of the gospel here in Sydney, around Australia, and across the world. Our Ministry Training Strategy (MTS) program is a really important part of our commitment as a church to keep training up and sending out people for the work of the gospel here in Sydney, around Australia, and across the world.

Support Ministry Training at Christ Church

Our church family is committed to the ministry training and support of both men and women. As they train in ministry, we can support them by taking an active interest in their welfare and encouraging them as they make progress, praying for them regularly and supporting them financially.

Our Ministry Trainees are supported financially through centralised scholarships administered by the Ministry Training Strategy but comprised of funds generously given by members of Christ Church St Ives, as well as contributions made by family and friends of Ministry Trainees. Ministry Trainee scholarships are administered centrally by the Ministry Training Strategy in order to allow all financial contributions made to our Ministry Trainees to be tax-deductible. As we do not provide funds for our Ministry Trainees through our General Giving at Christ Church, we strongly encourage individuals and families at Christ Church to prayerfully consider personally supporting Ministry Trainees by contributing to their scholarships through the Ministry Training Strategy website – details below.

To make a general financial contribution towards Ministry Training at Christ Church, please visit General Support on the Ministry Training Strategy Website. General contributions made towards Ministry Training at Christ Church will go toward supporting all of our Trainees.

To make a specific financial contribution towards an individual Ministry Trainee at Christ Church, please visit Trainee Support on the Ministry Training Strategy Website and type in a specific trainee’s name to make a contribution.

For more information about the Ministry Training Strategy come along to an MTS Supporters’ Night or to sign-up to the MTS Prayer Letter please contact Anton Marquez.

The Impact of Ministry Training — Where Are They Now?

We’re so thankful to God for the way he has raised up many faithful men and women to pursue working in ministry as they serve Christ and his people in a full-time, vocational capacity.
