Partnering with our Mission Partners

Later on in this blog I am going to ask you if you want to join me and Nicky in Dubbo on 21 March for the Bathurst Diocese Conference. We need 4 people to help out with the Kids and Youth program so that dozens and dozens of adults can be in the program. Many people in Bathurst diocese have to watch a sermon on video in church each Sunday because they have no preacher in their church. So if you have safe ministry training will you come with us to bless Bathurst on March 21?

One of the things I love about our church is that we seek to do mission partnership with our mission partners in an active and engaged way. I love that our Growths Groups have global mission champs. I love that we pray for our mission partners in church. I love that we get our mission partners to come and gather with us for a significant time when they are in Sydney. I love that we invite our mission partners to spend time with people thinking about using their life to serve Jesus vocationally. I love that people reach out to our mission partners to see how they can bless them in just small normal ways. I love that we have a mission map on the wall. And I love that so many people can name all 7 of our mission partners and that you can go up to our world map (or visit the website) and get information on all of them.

And I love that 2026 is going to be a mission partner fiesta.

First, Rebekah who serves Christians in South East Asia will be in church with us live for a couple of weeks starting this Sunday. Get excited. If you watch on the livestream it does mean there will be a few blackout moments because we will not be showing her face on the screen but in church you will get to meet her and throughout the week she will be in all sorts of places for you to catch up with her and ask questions. I am looking forward to it.

Next, on March 21, Nicky and I are heading out to Dubbo for the annual Bathurst Diocese Conference. This day brings together people from all over rural NSW to hear the Bible taught live and to encourage each other in rural ministry. For some kids, it's the only time in the year they get to meet Christians of their own age. Then on Saturday night and Sunday 22nd I will be speaking at Dubbo Anglican before heading home in the afternoon.

I would love some people to join us to help minister to the kids during the conference and to help encourage the church on Saturday night and Sunday. It means heading out to Dubbo either super early Saturday or Friday night and then returning Sunday afternoon. Accommodation is provided and it will be a massive blessing to the church. Will you join us? Please message me if you are keen.

Then, later in the year, Megan and Gavin Rosser will be with us. They are ministering in a church in Amman, Jordan and what a time it has been in that region of the world. I am looking forward to catching up with them to see what impact the geopolitical movements around them are having on their work.

Finally, we are expecting a visit from members of George Whitefield College in Cape Town South Africa. The college supports and trains men and women from all over Africa and our support enables people to get a great theological education in preparation for pastoral ministry.

What a mission partnership smorgasbord 2026 is going to provide for us.

So if your Growth Group has not yet chosen a mission partner to pray for and committed to having a global mission champ, can I encourage you to head back to page 12 in the booklet and get on board. Partnering with our Mission Partners furthers the gospel across the world and is an enormous encouragement to them.

Let’s be a church that partners with our mission partners for the glory of God.
