Let’s Talk Seminars: The ‘I’ in Community
Bringing your best self to community.
This year our mid-week Let’s Talk seminars are on the topic ‘The ‘I’ in Community’. We’ll start the night together in the auditorium before splitting into 3 interactive seminars.
Seminar choices:
Origins & Belonging: Exploring how family shaped you—and your place in the church community.
– Nicky Fortescue (Nicky is a faculty member of the Family Systems Institute and loves exploring how our families of origin shape the ways we relate to each other).
Friendship with Jesus transforms our friendships: How Jesus shifts our approach from self to sacrifice.
– Steph Shumack and Soph O’Hearn (Steph and Soph have been close friends for years and have thought deeply about how Jesus shapes our friendships).
Building Community through Peacemaking: How being a peacemaker transforms community and what it looks like in practice.
– David Coy (David is a retired Anglican pastor, trained and experienced in mediation and biblical peacemaking with a longing for us all to enjoy the Hebrew idea of Shalom together).
Date: Wednesday, 9 July
Time: 7.15–9pm
Location: Starting in the church auditorium
