Trusting God in the storms of life

Active trust is essential to the Christian life but it’s not always easy. We can think we’re trusting God until life is difficult, and our trust is put to the test. Trust is something that God develops in us by his grace, but it’s also something we must choose to do and work at.

This seminar will look at:

  • What it means to trust God

  • Why it’s sometimes difficult to trust God

  • What God says about trusting him and why we can trust him

How we can grow our trust in God

There will be:

  • A Bible talk from Gerard O’Brien

  • An interview with and testimony from Luke Morris

  • Q & A panel

Luke is a former Ministry Trainee at Christ Church. He is married to Courtney and they have a son. Luke is currently in his second year at Moore College studying a Bachelor of Divinity and is a student minister at Mosman Village Church. Luke’s brother Marcus tragically died in October 2017 and in his grief, Luke had to grapple with whether God can be trusted at all times and in all circumstances.

Filmed Sunday 17 August, 2025.
