It is striking when you read the Bible how often Jesus asks questions
“How do you read it?” (Luke 10:26) “What do you think?” (Matt 17:25). “What do you want?” (John 1:38). “Why do you call me good?” (Luke 18:19). “Do you believe?” (John 9:35). “Who do you say I am?” (Mark 8:29).
Unlike us, Jesus rarely preaches the gospel in a place of worship, instead he challenges people in their way of life, moment by moment. He moves with the people, constantly in dialogue, pointing people bit by bit towards a life of faith.
Let’s be like Jesus, and bit by bit, have more conversations about things that really matter.
