Thank You, Team Leaders
Hey church. I wanted to do a slightly different church news this week because I would like to show some honour. It says in Romans chapter 12, "Honor one another above yourselves." Another translation says, "outdo one another in showing honour." That would be the kind of church that I'd like to be a part of, one where our service of each other was recognised and elevated.
Particularly today, I just wanna focus on our team leaders at church, and I want to say good on you. Thank you for serving us as a community. There's over 100, voluntary team leaders at church. I'm thinking about guys like Brendan, who leads a welcoming team at 9.15. I'm thinking about guys like Anton, who lead AV team tirelessly and consistently. I'm thinking about people like Zara, who lead the creche team, and on Sunday morning when we take our little three-year-old down there, we know that she's going to be well looked after and taught the Bible. If you're a team leader in church life, we just want to honour you. We want to say thank you, not because you're doing us a service, but because you are serving Jesus, and we just want to honour you for what you're doing.
Now, all of this is obviously, a bit of an ad, because here's what's coming up in church life. It's the Team Leader Summit on the 26th of July. If you are a team leader or if you're interested in what it would look like to maybe consider investigating becoming a team leader, we would love to have you at the Team Leader Summit on the 26th of July. Because if we're going to move towards 3,000 wholehearted disciples, we're going to need lots and lots and lots of people using their gifts to lead others as we try to make wholehearted disciples.
