What if God intentionally made us different?

Most of us feel awkward, anxious, pushy or weird when we talk to others about Jesus. Our heart rate rises. Sometimes we say strange things. Sometimes we avoid saying anything at all.

Some of us avoid bringing faith up altogether.
Others jump in quickly and later wonder if we pushed too hard.
Some are great listeners but struggle to speak clearly.
Others are bold and direct but find relationships difficult to navigate.

But what if God intentionally made us different?

Over time I’ve realised that Christians often approach mission in very different ways. Some naturally create trust, safety and belonging. Others instinctively bring clarity, challenge or direction. And often the things we find hardest in mission reveal both our blind spots and our gifts.

That’s what our upcoming Mission as me workshop is all about.

Mission as me is a practical and encouraging workshop designed to help ordinary Christians share Jesus in ways that are faithful and authentic — without feeling like you need to become someone else.

Together we’ll explore:

  • how your personality shapes your strengths and blind spots in mission

  • why some conversations feel natural and others feel difficult

  • how the Holy Spirit uses very different kinds of people

  • practical next steps with real people in your life

This isn’t a workshop about becoming louder, more extroverted or more impressive.

It’s about learning:

  • how God has already shaped you for mission

  • how to take one step beyond what comes naturally

  • and how to trust that God really does work through ordinary people

You’ll hear honest stories from people in our church, reflect on your own relationships, and leave with practical ideas for what faithfulness could look like in your everyday life.

Whether you feel confident sharing your faith or completely unsure where to begin, this workshop is for you.

Come with your Growth Group and sit together, or come on your own and we’ll find you a group.

Because we all want the people around us to love Jesus and have life to the full. But we don’t always know what else we can do.

So let’s gather together, learn from one another, and ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen us for mission.
